My first look at the ringed planet this season. Great to see it again! Rings so much more closed now 🪐

View here is the red channel in monochrome. Taken at 3000mm with an 8" reflector, best 9% of 5,000 frames.

Telescopic view of Saturn - monochrome, north 'up'. Planet as a disc in the centre with some hints of horizontal bandings. Rings quite closed, there is a slither of black between the planet and the rings on either side.

I got to see it in the ocular of a friend's 8" SCT last week. We were able to see the brighter white band as in your image.
