I'm not only slowly removing Google from my life, but also Amazon. It's hard to find a more despicable company to do business with.
I no longer buy anything from their regular store, but I do have a ton of audio books. I used up a bunch of credits (and bought some more) to buy out the remainder of my wish list, so now I'm done for good.
However, I do need a new audio book player for Android. Any good tips? There are so many really bad ones!
Downpour seems like an OK place to buy books. But their app is awful, so I don't want to use it. I need an app that can read files from my own library of books, not exclusively tied to a book store.
@veronica Yomu is a decent ebook app that you can sideload ebooks to the cloud. The version on iOS is a little unusual for book formatting, but I really like it.
@veronica I use AntennaPod for both books and podcasts, works with various feeds and local files just as well
@veronica smart audiobook player.. is the best closed source.
open source i use audiobookshelve.. still in beta but ok
