Created a new Razor WebApp, and migrated all of my previous codebase into it.
Have to figure out what I want now …
So … my ideal DDI solution consists of:
- #Kea #DHCPv4 #DHCPv6
- #PowerDNS Auth
- #ISC #Stork for Kea Management
- Custom application, that can
- Translate Kea Leases into a PowerDNS Remote backend
- Manipulate PowerDNS through its HTTP Api (i.e. an Admin interface)
Stork apparently got the ability to manage/configure Kea, so that's something I don't have to build.
Why not NSUpdate? Because it sucks.

En opsamling på et pilotprojekt om tendenser og dilemmaer
Ambitionen er at give et overblik over et ellers uoverskueligt landskab af tilgange til bæredygtighed og at lære af de udfordringer, virksomheder oplever. Den viden, der skabes i projektet, skal hjælpe fagfolk og virksomheder med at træffe bedre beslutninger i deres bæredygtighedsarbejde: hvilke tilgange skal vi bruge? Hvilke certifikater skal vi satse på? Hvordan kan vi håndtere dilemmaer andre har stået i? Rapporten formidler de foreløbige resultater af projektet og diskuterer samtidig, hvordan en næste undersøgelse kunne se ud, så der løbende (årligt) bygges oven på den viden, der er skabt for 2024.
Ud fra en analyse af data fra 331 virksomheder og 7 interviews, peger de foreløbige resultater på følgende temaer:

Side quest of #Stork and #kea #dhcp server completed. I can search for dhcp leases now which is all I need I suppose. Seems like it has potential but all the useful shit you gotta pay for not so open saucy but I get it . Kinda complicated with all the fucking agents as well.

Oh, that's why me KEA dhcpv6 configuration wasn't working:
1) I'd converted the configuration over from my prior isc-dhcpv6 one.
2) The configuration has some fixed address assignments, specified via duid, but these weren't working.
3) The dhcpv6 'ADVERTISE' message in this case was saying "Server could not select subnet for this client".
It turns out that the example configuration makes NO MENTION of needing an `"interface": "..."` stanza within the `"subnet6"` section. This is to tell the server the network is local and that, yes, it can reach such clients.

OPNSense on the Zimaboard works fine, stable and fast enough (I am not using intrusion detection). Very low temperatures at 4 watts.
One option I also configured because ISC DHCP is getting replaced by KEA.
Not all options and extra parameters are in (compared to the normal version) but It is OK for my purposes.
One annoying (but maybe obvious) thing I need to remind you off is that a double MAC address is detected when entering reserved leases but NOT double assigned IP addresses unfortunately.
Causing network downs once both hosts are online and get a IP address. In my case after some days while during setups. So ^%&^%&^%&^%^%

We tripped up to Arthurs Pass this morning primarily to find Kea but if the weather was better we’d have gone for a bushwalk too (it wasn’t).
I did find a Kea though, despite the rain, and it was as cheeky as expected. It spent a good 5 mins trying to get the café door open, before eventually giving up.
Also a bonus waterfall seen from the grounds of the café.
