1½ oz lime juice
2 dashes Maggi liquid seasoning
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
12 oz Mexican lager beer

Garnish: salted rim, lime wheel
Method: First, salt the rim of the glass by rubbing it with a cut-open lime and rolling it in a shallow bowl filled with Tahín or salt. Now build the drink in glass, adding ingredients in the order listed. Once the beer is in, garnish with a lime wheel and add a few small ice cubes then serve.

Maggi seasoning is really easy to find in Germany, but if not by you then soy sauce is a decent substitute. Tabasco also up for substitution according to your prefs. What isn’t negotiable is drinking this in the sunshine!

One more mod if you’re feeling sassy is to serve with a side of danger, a neat shot alongside that someone can add as they wish. Tequila and Mezcal are excellent choices!

More strange German food habits.

This is a 1kg bottle of Maggi Würze (spicing), usually referred to as just "Maggi".

You pour it on your food if it is lacking umami. It's mostly MSG and salt.

This was a gift - I've been abstinent for decades, I swear! Also I just learnt that Nestlé owns Maggi, so it is a truly sinful liquid.

A very large (1kg/800ml) dark brown glass bottle filled with a black liquid. The letters MAGGI are embossed in the glass. There's a large red cap on top and a label in red and yellow styling that reads Maggi Würze. A human hand grabs the neck to demonstrate the size of the bottle, barely covering the neck.
