Healey implied that people like Newsom are inadvertently helping Republicans by shifting the public conversation away from Trump’s desire to gut the federal government and to enrich wealthy people at the expense of everyday Americans.

"You’re just playing into the hands of exactly what they want, to distract everybody from the four-and-a-half trillion dollars in tax cuts that they’re going to want to jam through by cutting Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare. Period."

Via today's Act on Mass newsletter, I learned that the $4 billion economic development bill contained a section which would shield "foreclosure rescue" shared-appreciation mortgage lenders from liability for predatory lending practices and lack of disclosure in their agreements. It seems designed to inoculate BlueHub Capital from a pending class-action lawsuit. Despite outcry from advocacy organizations, Governor Healey left this intact when she signed the omnibus jobs bill last week. BlueHub's CEO has been one of Healey's biggest donors and fundraisers. A bad look.

Sorry, short of time. I hit a Rolling Stone paywall and quickly switched back to the same article posted by MSN.

White nationalists have been problems in Maine and Vermont prior to this. This Massachusetts case sounds to me to be a little nastier, which is saying a lot. The Maine and Vermont examples were plenty bad enough.

Check out NSC-131's goal of creating a "white-only ethnostate in New England."
