Wir bauen mal so langsam die Amazon Echos ab und ersetzen diese durch Home Assistant Voice. Ich bin gespannt, wie schwierig der Umstieg sein wird.
Noob clueless question
Why am I getting emails from #letsencrypt that I need to renew a certificate? At first I thought it was a scam.
There's a complicated looking link that includes #NabuCasa that doesn't work when I click it (on my phone at least, using the duck duck go browser).
I do have a #HomeAssistantGreen but I'm not using the cloud service (I did use the trial month)

I kinda wish that #nabucasa / #homeassistant would officially adopt #wled like they did with #esphome so the project can get more dev resources (and finally bring Wled to the #raspberrypi #picoW )

@AlexanderKingsbury SilLabs missed the boat of #FOSS open standards, so my guess is opening #zwave was to try and keep it relevant. Not seen any other chips, so IMHO failed (& Z-Wave LR looks industrial - LoRa-ish).
#Matter kit is ideal for those who want some tech, but don’t want a #NabuCasa Green.
You can use #Matter kit with Google/ Apple/ Amazon today, but add to #HomeAssistant or another platform tomorrow without pain.
The range is still a bit limited - e.g. the #Sonoff Mini4RM is good.
Random shout-out to @homeassistant: My Proxmox server hosting various services suffered a hard drive failure and went into read-only mode. ALL services apart from home assistant failed. Home Assistant still mostly works, apart from the recorder and integrations that depend on external hardware USB sticks. But the whole TCP/IP stack and integrations based on it still work flawlessly. Mmm, the @homeassistant Nabu Casa status page is telling me all is fine... except Google has lost all devices and in my effort to fix it Google Home is now telling me it can't connect to "Home Assistant by Nabu Casa" to link.
No news of this anywhere so not sure what's happening.
Started having a lot of trouble accessing Home Assistant on one of my devices. Took me a bit to figure out what was up. Initially thought maybe there was some networking wonkiness in macOS 15.2 beta, but nothing else was broken.
It was the last device still using HA Cloud. Used the direct link and all was solved.
I don't mind giving them money to fund the project, but I'd been intending to stop using HA Cloud for some time now, in favor of accessing through Tailscale. This kinda solidified my drive to complete the migration.
What have I got myself into?
It's not pretty, but has a nice heft to it.
Guess I'll have some fun this weekend, not that I'll have a clue what I'm doing.

While configuring a custom subdomain for my Home Assistant server through Nabu Casa, I encountered an issue where my domain registrar's DNS changes validated successfully, yet the custom URL remained inaccessible. The solution was simple: adding a period (.) at the end of each CNAME value resolved the problem. Hopefully, this saves someone else the frustration I experienced!
