Who bats an eyelid when asked to pay nursery fees, which, rightly or wrongly, are often more than the average private school fees? What is wrong with parents continuing to pay for education if they so choose? Why should anyone have the right to judge? In a system where wrap-around care costs a small fortune, and both parents work full-time, private schooling is no more costly.
In the real-world, our education system is broken; it is not serving our children. #Labour #Education #ToryGovernment

"This can’t go on. If #Sunak really wants to know why the country feels as if it’s falling apart, it’s because we haven’t got a functioning #government. All that he did get right was “enough is enough”. It is. Time for an #election.

The Guardian · Rish! purposefully grips his lectern – but shows he has no grip of the country By John Crace

Starting to wonder whether all this talk about war between NATO and Russia in the UK media at the moment is nothing more than Tory pre-election INFLUENCING.

"Defence" and military is always associated with Tories in UK and it advantages them to stoke up fear in population.

No doubt the war-mongering influencing suits the arms manufacturers who have deep links with the Tories.

We'll see more of this over the run-up to the Westminster election in the UK.

My latest for The Independent is up. On Suella Braverman's parting scrawl, the disastrous attempt of a political generation to power government by hot air and headlines, and how much you can tell about people from the way they fail.

For family reasons I'm more than slightly cross with some of #RishiSunak comments. I offer you a piece of #BillyPorter & try to channel mind thoughts to #ToryGovernment that human beings can just be what their heads want to be, unless of course that's a mass murder, rapist, or .. well someone who denies human beings to just be what their heads want to be.

Coming soon. A ban on orange floral blouses, because, well, why not?

#Teaching at a 'good' #school. Great students completely drowned out by unbelievably appalling #behaviour of many: Aggression in corridors, disrespect & defiance to all staff. Persistent talking & unruliness = completely unteachable classes.
Witnessed #disruption in order to secretly record teachers' reactions.
Behaviour #policies for these kids are absolutely ineffective. #Education & #EducationSystem is broken #GillianKeeganMP #ToryGovernment
No wonder #retention is plummeting. #Strikes
