A few folks have asked about the previous video of the porcupine “incident” that inspired my wife to build the bridge. Here is the first time we saw our opinionated friend “attempting” to cross, and not being happy about it!

You may remember the trailcam footage of a porcupine that hated getting its paws wet in the small woodland stream we have on the property. So my wife built a tiny bridge which it promptly started using.
Since then a bunch of furry friends have used the bridge, often going out of their ways to get across.
So enjoy this little skunk crossing the “mighty river.”

Neighbor set up a trail camera and shared this footage of one of the coyote packs in our urban neighborhood.
A Japanese Marten (Martes melampus) walked out in front of my camera. This forested area is in Western Tokyo. It's surrounded by suburbs. I have been gradually cleaning up garbage left by campers and homeless people over the past 50 years. I leave table scraps to attract animals and reduce my waste.

White-footed mouse taking Box Elder bugs at night round two.
This was completely unexpected when I saw them all gone this morning and the trap still set
Camera has a delay set before it will take another video. Two more similar videos were made before it got them all using the same technique...
Set the TrailCam up downstairs by the outside doors. Wondered who was taking the Box Elder Bugs I've been killing on warmer days. Seems there is a White-footed Mouse (probably several) that has been evading my traps
Wasn't sure how well it would work from 3 feet away but seems good enough...
