Still looking for my "forever Linux laptop." The one I'll put ALL my stickers on.
At one point I thought it would be the @system76 Oryx Pro but 17-inchers are big and & power hungry.
Then I wanted it to be my Apple M1, but app compatibility (ARM) has me a little concerned.
I need all day battery life, great display, MODEST dedicated GPU or strong integrated GPU.
Should I just do what everyone else has been doing and buy a #ThinkPad? The T-14 looks pretty sweet.
@killyourfm
I'm considering a Thinkpad for the same reason, although I don't like the keyboard layout. As a European I'm not sure about system76 warranty support. Not a fan of MacOS but I didn't really consider installing Linux on a Mac. Is that advisable at all? Another option I'm considering is Dell XPS 13 plus.
@kerfuffle I can understand not liking the keyboard layout. But I will say Thinkpads inarguably have the best keyboard comfort and overall feel.
But maybe in your case, an XPS 13 is worth exploring? The displays on those are incredible.
EDIT: VAT and shipping put a System76 laptop too far out of reach.
