In Bug & Claw's 44th #devlog, I dive into some of the Learning and research I've been doing the last year to help flesh out the world of Entomara, the mechanics of the game, and to become a better writer and designer.

In this #devlog I finally fixed that collision bug that I knew was lurking in there! I've added a game clock and added a simple night to day cycle and some sound effects which is making the game feel more alive. https://youtu.be/j4MDoskgjSc #gamedev indiedev #monogame
In Bug & Claw's 35th #devlog, we look at some of the general items and equipment, as well as some of the rare ones.

A quick post to end the night on a good news :)
I can now draw the map on multiple layers! Nothing big, but I wanted to finish this before going to bed haha.
From now on, my newsletter will chronicle the journey of collaborating on a game with the aim of being (relatively) financially successful.
I started a lengthy series of post-mortem blog posts about the Steam release of Blêktre 2081. It will lead to the marketing lessons, for now starting with the genesis.

The next long-overdue devlog on my village building game just dropped!
In this #devlog I discuss the difficulty on finding the right kind of artwork for representing a human emotion. Once that is sorted, I implement basic collision and scoring to end up with the first version that is actually playable. https://youtu.be/IdfmtqB4b9M #gamedev, #solodev, #learntocode, #monnogame
#devlog I've decided to add anime girls to help reach a wider audience,,
ðis 1 will be voiced by 2 AIs(1 girl & 1 boy, interpolating across sentences) & run a unique artifact shop wiθ prices in various crypto currencies you can buy from ðe new cash shop or get from quests
(you can also just exchange ðem for a fee to speculate 𓅱)
I've done another dev-log for my PoetrySlice project, this time consisting mostly of a short video in which I explain what it is all about...
Hi everyone! Do you remember the digital clock shader I created here some time ago? It was one of the first 2D shaders I used in a 3D project, and the result looked very usable. I think a shader simulating a classic analog clock could have a similar application, and that's exactly what we'll be creating today. #Godot #Godot4 #GodotEngine #GodotTips #shaders #devlog #indiedev

The work in this update was a lot less to do with coding and a lot more to do with fiddling with the artwork and the level design to get the game to look right. As much as I'd love to just focus on code, all this stuff is essential when creating games I guess! https://youtu.be/7a5iaS1HYQc #devlog, #gamedev, #monogame, #solodev, #learntocode
Today, we tried out a new weapon style. Do you think it has too much recoil?
What makes combat feel fun to you in a platformer?
We’ve been working on Nanuka’s beat ‘em up-inspired moves, aiming for something fluid, punchy, and satisfying.

In this #devlog I show the progress I've made in the game, getting the nasty math bit out of the way and also working with JSON data to allow me to create the buildings more dynamically. https://youtu.be/E8hcF1G7gRA #gamedev, #monogame, #learntocode
