Somehow vacation messed up my whole rhythm for #grandma recordings. Today I finally managed to finish the one, I had started at the end of August already. During vacation I managed to do a profile about Karl #Ganter, the guy, who went from Black Forest to #NewZealand around the turn of the century and only returned shortly before World War I. I also found a postcard he had received and I managed to track down the sender, who then received a profile.

Transcribed belated #grandma recording about poor Otto #Ganter from #Titisee, who died in an accident while loading wood shortly before his wedding. He once visited grandma's parents' (her father was a brother to Otto's bride) and brought her a giant pear as a gift. She was allowed to take it to school, but a kid, Lisbeth, stole it from her in the break and ate it. Grandma was looking forward so much to eating it and ended up empty handed. Kids can be cruel!
