I've asked before, but does anyone know how to configure GDM/Gnome to ignore my monitors searching for Inputs? The OSD setting for the displays doesn't work (it has a setting that does nothing) and when all 3 of them start searching for inputs when Windows/Linux tries to turn off the displays, they end up sending some signal that Gnome/GDM interprets as input relevant to unsleeping the displays. So the displays can never turn off on their own, without my own manual intervention.

On their own, at best they end up on a black screen but on; With GDM/Gnome being unaware that the monitors are getting a signal as far as I can tell. (Some sort of race condition here maybe?)

Plugged in using DisplayPort to an EVGA RTX 3070 using the latest official nVidia Driver.

I've been accepted as a speaker at @LAS to talk about GNOME Circle. I was excited to travel to Albania and have my talk there but the Linux App Summit hasn't been answering any of my emails! Since I'm from Iran, I really need an Invitation Letter to be able to get my visa (e-visa) since Albania does not give visas to Iranians so easily, and it needs lots of paperwork (and also no embassy in Iran). I emailed LAS on 11th March...

Ho iniziato l'abbandono di windows, procedura da fare con calma per abituarsi al nuovo SO. Dopo vari test sulle più diffuse distribuzioni #linux ho scelto #ubuntu con desktop #KDE: in pratica #kubuntu (non me ne vogliano le estimatori di #gnome, ma non riesco ad abituarmici). Installazione semplice, distribuzione completa, un unico problema hardware: il lettore di impronte dalla HP non e' supportato, ma si può fare a meno.
Altro problema non critico riguarda la strana lentezza di samba, ma va.

I'm on the Fedora beta, but realised my fonts in #gnome didn't update to the new Adwaita fonts. I never really think about fonts, but there's something about the new ones that's turning me off. Like, why are the brackets so tall in the mono font?

This might just be my brain going 'change bad', so I'll stick with them for now.

I wish there was a modifier to Tab that you could hold to jump directly to the next text input, instead of the regular jump to the next interactable element.

The number of times I have to hit Tab multiple times to get across linkes or other stuff to get to what I actually want to do is too damned high.

if you are using #bazzite (i'm running #gnome #nvidia) and are successfully using the #RDP Remote Login service, please let me know how you set that up, because i can authenticate to the service but WindowsApp on #iPadOS gets stuck on "Configuring remote PC" and eventually fails.

Is @gnome Keyring as well-maintained as @keepassxc? Is it worth switching from GNOME Keyring to KeePassXC for storing secrets and keys?
