The #Trump admin has appealed a lower court's determination that the US Preventive Services Task Force #USPSTF, which under the #ACA has a major hand in choosing what services will be covered, is composed of members who were not validly appointed. Its 16 members are appointed by the secy of #HHS [currently #RFKJr] w/o #Senate confirmation.
#SCOTUS is set on Monday to consider the legality of a provision of the #AffordableCareAct #law [aka #Obamacare], that helps ensure that #health #insurers cover #PreventiveMedicalCare such as #cancer screenings at no cost to #patients.

THE LIKELIHOOD OF DONALD #TRUMP and his allies in Congress taking #Medicaid away from millions of low-income Americans—and, in the process, rolling back a huge piece of the #AffordableCareAct—has increased significantly in the last two weeks!
The change has been easy to miss, because so many other stories are dominating the news—and because the main evidence is a subtle shift in #Republican rhetoric.
But that shift has been crystal clear if you follow the ins and outs of health care policy—and if you were listening closely to House Speaker #MikeJohnson a week ago, when he appeared on #FoxNews.

Every time one of these dumbasss #Senators starts to talk about healthcare, and this includes ol' #brainworm hisself, is to remind them that we-the-people don't have their level of healthcare (paid by us) in terms of quality or quantity.

#Trump is attempting to force #Americans, through #tariffs, to buy American made products, even though they may not want to for a variety of reasons.
It is #ObamaCare expanded to the entire economy.
Some of the same people who screamed about that are cheering this.

The #ACA / #Obamacare is a popular but not overwhelmingly popular system (60% popularity). It left a lot of the problems with the #private, #forprofit #US #medical system intact and is vulnerable to #farright attacks.
Only 8% of #Democrats oppose #MedicareForAll, yet no Dem politicians pursue it. Ask why.
