: Andrena praecox is a sand bee in the Andrenidae family. It’s a solitary, nest-building bee with one annual generation and flies in Germany from March to May. Females of this sand bee are approximately 10 to 11 mm long, while males are approximately 9 to 11 mm long. It’s widespread in Europe, occurring from central Spain to the Caucasus and Kazakhstan. To the north, the species is distributed beyond the Arctic Circle, and to the south, as far as Lazio and southern Hungary. It’s particularly common in sandy areas, in sand and gravel pits, on forest edges, and in hedges.

Die Weibchen dieser Sandbiene sind ca. 10 bis 11 mm lang, die Männchen ca. 9 bis 11 mm. Sie ist in Europa weit verbreitet. Sie kommt von Zentralspanien bis zum Kaukasus und in Kasachstan vor. Nach Norden ist die Art bis jenseits des Polarkreises und nach Süden bis ins Latium und Südungarn verbreitet. Sie ist vor allem in sandigen Gebieten häufig, in Sand- und Kiesgruben, an Waldsäumen und Hecken.
