I like to ride my scooter to the park for #nature walks & appreciation. There's a couple of spots, off the trails, where I like to sit, read & eat lunch & avoid people.
#SwanLake #NatureSanctuary & #Estuary - less than 10 minutes from my place. I've loved this #LocalPark since childhood. Went full circle here. Learned at this #park & #nature center as a young child. In my 30s, ended up working there for a year as a naturalist, teaching young school children on field trip outings. #Birdwatching hotspot
#ColeBay #CRDPark in #NorthSaanich is a quiet, beautiful park for #DayHiking & #nature appreciation. Short hike to beach area. A lovely #creek runs through this #LocalPark & beach is fab for impromptu picnics & birdwatching.
