If you're thinking about Christmas or how sad you're #about the election, are you #intentional in your thinking?

Some in #philosophy believe all #mental states are intentional, i.e. they are *about* something.

This would mean you can't be happy *in general*, without being happy *about something*.

This "aboutness" is important because it explains what a conscious #mind is.

@MisterMadge Probably possible though the whole thing about most jobs is that it's actively working against most people and even the workers themselves, as a kind of 'drive' or stress towards doing more of it from some kind of attached need (the attachment theory) like a child that needs a parent (or "parent" company) and then "does stuff" to others and not to you... but what goes around definitely comes around by design.

👏 We had a nice chat because it triggered a very interesting conversation within the group. It becomes explicit that having "power with" rather than "power over" is better. That is the strength of designing as a group, either organization structures, processes, or software.

Last year, I delivered a workshop at a meetup, and one of the exercises was about organization evolution using @TeamTopologies.

🧪 One of the attendees said they were being naïve in the approach, and their solution was not scientific.

🌱 It immediately rang a bell and connected many dots in my head. Yes, there is no "scientific approach" or "management approach" when it comes to setting team structures in a work environment.
